The Thirst Trap is written by Zeniba Now and Rodney Bush and was created with the support of the Songbyrd Demo Grant and The Boston Conservatory Alumni Entrepreneurial Grant. 

ZENIBA NOW 

A 2024 Woman to Watch on Broadway, Zeniba Now is an award-winning musical storyteller, performer, and vocalist from Los Angeles, California. As a writer of musicals, her work includes the shorts: “Beloved” (PBS, #BARS at The Public) and "To Be on Hold Forever/Stay on The Line" from HUMAN RESOURCES (St. Louis Rep, Woolly Mammoth) and full lengths: THE LOOPHOLE (Richard Rodgers Award Winner, Headliner Pass The Mic Hip Hop Festival, Public Studio), TAKE THE LEAD (Paper Mill Playhouse 2025), THE THIRST TRAP (Dramatist Guild Foundation 60th Anniversary Gala, Songbyrd Demo Grant) and a new musical in development with Disney Theatrical Productions! Clips from her one-woman specials have received millions of views online, you can watch  “iQuit: Millennial Retirement Gala”, “Sincerely, Z”, and “April Fools” on TikTok, IG or Youtube.  You can listen to her music on the streaming service of your choice, including her new meditative EP, Wholly Chill. RODNEY BUSH 

Rodney Bush is a Composer, Performer, and Songwriter. Selected Composition: Stoker, Leaves: Songs of Ourselves (song cycle), Wholly Chill (EP), The Thirst Trap, Out Of The Cradle (opera), Around The World In 80 days (world premier Theatre Raleigh), perhaps you forgot (electronic album), Project Adjective Vol 1& 2, LeFay, Involuntary Memory, Any Exit. He is the keyboardist, co-songwriter, and one of the founding members of the glam rock band Tony & The Kiki. As a songwriter and music producer he has worked with several collaborators including Valleygirl, Brad Gibson, Jay Adana, and The Kilbanes. Rodney composes music for film and tv with his collaborator anatu. He has worked for HBO as a composer and music editor on campaigns for “Industry” and more. Rodney is also a music director and his worked on over 50 productions nationally and internationally of musicals and operas both canonical and in development. He has served as the music director for many Broadway talents including: Eden Espinosa, Melora Hardin, Adam Kantor, Zeniba Now, Carmen Cusack, Eva Noblezada, Nick Adams, Claybourne Elder, and Margot Seibert. @rodneybush
