NARS1 Disorder is an ultra-rare genetic condition that affects brain development and function. It happens when changes in the NARS1 gene stop the body from making certain proteins properly. This can lead to developmental delays, movement difficulties, and epilepsy, among other complex needs. Fewer than 100 people worldwide are known to have NARS1 Disorder — but through research, awareness, and community, families and scientists are working together to bring understanding, progress, and hope.
