At Dark Horse Inclusion, we never want a child’s diagnosis, family finances, or life circumstances to decide whether they get to experience the life-changing power of horses. The Ride Without Limits Scholarship Fund exists so that children with disabilities, special needs, and emotional or developmental challenges can participate in adaptive riding and equine-assisted social-emotional learning — regardless of their ability to pay.

This year, we are working to raise $15,000 because it directly translates into access for the families who need us most. These funds allow us to provide adaptive riding sessions with multiple trained staff, safe and appropriate therapy horses, specialized equipment, helmets, insurance coverage, facility care, and individualized lesson planning for each rider. Our students often require a team approach — side walkers, instructors, and trained support staff — which makes every scholarship lesson far more resource-intensive than a traditional riding lesson.

The need continues to grow. We currently have families on a waitlist who are ready to start but cannot move forward without financial assistance. The Ride Without Limits Scholarship Fund ensures that no child is turned away simply because their family is facing financial hardship.

Every dollar raised helps remove barriers, open barn doors, and give a child the chance to build confidence, independence, emotional strength, and a true sense of belonging — one ride at a time.
