Many of the children who come to Camp Joy come from underserved communities, are in foster care, or have special medical needs. For these children, having someone who listens, guides, and encourages them is often a rare experience. Each child who comes to Camp Joy embarks on a transformative adventure, supported every step of the way by dedicated and compassionate counselors.

Throughout their time at Camp Joy, children engage in activities that challenge them physically, mentally, and emotionally. They explore the natural world, learning about plants, animals, and the environment, which sparks their curiosity and develops a deep connection with nature. These experiences are designed to build resilience, teaching children how to navigate both the trails of Camp Joy and the challenges they face in life.

Under the guidance of Camp Joy's counselors, children develop new skills that extend far beyond the camp's borders. They learn teamwork and collaboration during group activities, discovering the power of working together towards a common goal.
