I'm Soren, and I like singing. People tell me I have a good ear. My mom calls me a jukebox because I can remember songs easily and hit the right notes. I've been in varsity choir all of middle school and I'm hoping to sing in high school.

This summer, I've been accepted as a student to Lutheran Summer Music (LSM). I think LSM will help prepare me for HS varsity choir as well as sharing my gifts in church. I'm nervous about spending a month away from home but I'm also excited because of everything I'll learn.

I'm raising funds to help my family better afford this experience. LSM offers a 50% fundraising match (up to $500) as well - so if I can raise $1,000, I'll earn the full match. Thank you for your generosity. I appreciate you helping me go to LSM!

Lutheran Summer Music Academy & Festival (LSM) is the nation’s premier faith-based music academy for high school students. In addition to advanced musical instruction and numerous performance opportunities, LSM students form an intentional community, living together for four weeks on a Lutheran college campus. Since 1981, this unique and immersive program has guided the lives of young musicians who credit LSM as the starting place for their future careers and vocations.

LSM was founded to celebrate and extend the rich musical heritage of the Lutheran church. Our founders believed that by providing high-quality training and performance opportunities to young musicians they could cultivate a lifelong love of classical and sacred music, thus preserving these art forms for generations to come.
