The CARICON Resilience Fund is a recovery and support program that strengthens Caribbean creative communities during and after natural disasters and crises. The Fund provides emergency financial assistance, equipment replacement, and rebuilding support to authors, artists, libraries, schools, and cultural institutions, ensuring that cultural expression and storytelling can continue even in times of hardship.

THE NEED

The Caribbean region faces recurring natural disasters—hurricanes, earthquakes, floods, volcanic eruptions—that devastate communities and destroy cultural infrastructure. When disaster strikes:

Authors lose computers, manuscripts, research materials, and income sources
Artists lose studios, instruments, artwork, and creative tools
Libraries lose books, archives, and community gathering spaces
Schools lose arts programs, supplies, and cultural education resources
Cultural centers lose performance spaces, equipment, and programming capacity

Without support, creative voices go silent and cultural infrastructure disappears permanently. The Resilience Fund prevents this loss.
