Grandmother Flordemayo reminds us, "We are healers in our own right. We need to continue healing all that is around us. We are being called. We need to see each other in our eyes and know we are one and the same." Grandmother Flordemayo Bio

Born the youngest of 15 children in the highlands of Central America, Grandmother Flordemayo was found at an early age – like others in her family – to have the gift of Sight. By age four, she was being trained in the art of curanderismo, which had been handed down from mother to daughter for many generations. Flordemayo’s mother was a midwife and healer and taught her daughters in the use of herbs, women’s medicine and how women are to honor and care for our Mother Earth. Flordemayo now lives in New Mexico. She is a frequent presenter at national and international conferences and events, universities and colleges. Since 1999, she has been part of the Wisdom of the Grandmothers’ Foundation. Currently, in addition to her independent work as a Universal Healer, featured speaker and woman of prayer, she is the Founder of The Path, a 501(c)3 dedicated to the preservation of traditional knowledge and heritage seeds. Through her work with The Path, Flordemayo maintains a seed bank and holds gatherings to further educate and raise awareness of the importance of seeds. For without these seeds of the Earth in the hands of the people our future would be threatened. Flordemayo travels our beautiful Mother Earth to share her teachings and healing gifts, inspiring and fostering more spiritual understanding among people, so that all people may unite as one. Flordemayo is now formally recognized as the keeper of her family’s sacred staff which has been passed down for 12 generations. She works as a healer/curandera and considers her Mayan heritage a keystone of her work.

She is a founding member of the Church of the Spiritual Path, the Confederation of Indigenous Elders of the America, Institute of Natural and Traditional Knowledge, The International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers, and The Mother Earth Delegation of United Indigenous Nations.

Grandmother (Abuela) Esperanza Bio

Abuela Esperanza is an Intuitive and Dream Interpreter. As a dream intuitive, she can see and interpret dreams and has the ability to see other realms of color, light, and sound. In addition, she has the ability to see the effects of existing imbalances on the physical, emotional and spiritual realms within a person's energy system. Esperanza will empower you to begin the self awareness and self discovery of allowing yourself to become more in tune with your dreams.

She was born in highlands of Central America in Nicaragua and is the oldest of 15 children. She is Grandmother Flordemayo’s oldest sister. Abuela Espranza is also a gifted garment designer, and designs all of Grandmother Flordemayo’s dresses and clothing.

Esperanza has been designing women’s and men's garments and accessories for more than 60 years. As a young woman she discovered that she had the talent to create and design exciting designs using a needle and fabric. Esperanza studied with her mentor Mrs. Adele Adams, a German Master designer, in the early 70's. Esperanza’s vast professional experience has earned her the respect of many classic designers from across the country, including New York. Her specialty is hats and other headwear for hair loss due to chemotherapy or other medical hair loss issues, and sensitive scalps, creating headwear that is stylish and designed specifically for each client’s needs. The hand made hat selections include various one-of-a-kind designs that are exceptionally soft and durable.

A Period of Renewal for The Path

In the natural world, there are times when seeds must lie dormant, gathering strength for the moment they burst forth into life. Similarly, The Path will be entering a phase of dormancy in its physical form until Fall 2024. This necessary pause comes in the wake of the challenges faced last year, including the significant damage inflicted by a supercell storm. We will be raising money to renew The Path and repair the Damage by the Supercell by the end of September 2024.

Embracing a Time of Transformation
The Path's physical sanctuary, a place of learning, gathering, and spiritual connection, will temporarily close its doors to visitors until The Fall as we embark on a journey of renewal and rebuilding. This decision, though difficult, is essential to ensure the longevity and sustainability of our sacred space. Our immediate goals are twofold: to secure the funds needed for our annual budget and to gather the resources required to repair the damage from last year's storm.

Continuing Our Mission
While The Path's physical grounds may be resting, our mission remains vibrant and active. We are committed to spreading Indigenous and Elder Wisdom through a variety of channels. Our focus in 2024 will be on expanding our virtual presence and continuing to host in-person events in alternative locations. This approach allows us to continue sharing invaluable teachings and connecting with our community, even as we work towards the restoration of our beloved physical space.

The Path is housed on a 40- acre piece of property in Estancia, New Mexico just east of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Estancia is translated as the “place of rest.” On the 40- acres are Flordemayo’s five sacred temples of humanity: The Temple of The Golden Child, The Water Temple, The Fire Temple, The Seed Temple and The Earth Temple. These sacred sites serve as places for ceremony, celebrations, group teachings, and beautiful reminders of our deep connection with Mother Earth.
