The Blockbuster Bash for the Madison is an all-ages, community festival with the not-so-secret goal of raising money needed to support the renovation and reestablish the Madison Theatre.
In other words, it’s a party. And like any good party, we want as many people as possible to attend. That’s why we’re not charging admission. Instead, we're asking folks to pay what they think it’s worth.
Now, we think the experience we have planned is worth hundreds ... thousands even. But we'll be ecstatic if everyone who attends gives just $20. In fact, you can click the pink button in the top right corner and send one Andrew Jackson our way right now. Your contribution is an investment in the arts and a beloved venue that's an anchor of Peoria’s downtown.
Here’s a peek at the incredible, diverse lineup of acts and activities we’ve put together for the Blockbuster Bash:

🎨 Unveiling of an all-new mural celebrating the arts (thanks, PNC Bank!)
There will be plenty of options for food and drink, of course, along with a whole host of other events and activities we couldn’t squeeze onto the list above. But here’s the best part – 100% of the money raised will be going directly into saving one of the most famous spaces in all of Peoria.

The Madison Makes an Impact:
Those of us who have been around long enough to remember the Madison Theatre when it was in operation understand the sizeable, positive impact this renovation can have in bringing life back to Main Street and downtown Peoria. Reopening the Madison, too, is Peoria’s last shot at saving one of the city’s famed Vaudeville theaters, while bringing jobs – construction and permanent – into the city.
But, more important than the economic impact, a renovated Madison Theatre will give far more people in our community affordable access to the life-altering power of the arts by providing a new home for events ranging from concerts, orchestras, and ballets all the way to seminars, film screenings, and educational initiatives.
