2023 Bakhita Mountain Home Steps to Empower Sponsorship

Bakhita Mountain Home is delighted to host the 4th annual 'Steps to Empower' fundraising walk on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at the beautiful Mount Saint Francis campus in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The Bakhita Mountain Home (BMH) is a 2-year restoration home and program for adult women survivors of human trafficking. The home is located in the Colorado Springs area at a confidential location and can house up to five residents. The program offers rent-free, independent communal living which provides survivors the opportunity to continue to heal and grow individually while connecting to a supportive community. All funds raised from this walk support BMH in providing survivors with trauma-informed wraparound care services, counseling, educational and economic support, etc.
