Hi! I’m Kiera, and I'm 6 years old. Late last year, I was diagnosed with scoliosis. Scoliosis is when your spine has a curve that goes sideways, and it usually happens when you're growing super fast. Yup, even though I'm young, I’ve got it! But the good news is my doctor found it early, and I'm doing everything I can to straighten things out by wearing my brace just like I'm supposed to! With a little faith and a lot of hard work, we’re making progress! This summer, I’m going to Higgy Con, a super special conference for kids like me who have scoliosis. I’m so excited to meet other kids who wear braces too! We’re going to be making Higgy bears for kids who are battling scoliosis. I already have my very own Higgy bear, and it helps remind me that I'm never alone in this journey because my bear wears a brace, just like me.
