(Re)Create is a 501-(c)3 non-profit, which started working as a residency program in 2016. Since then, artists have had the opportunity to work, experiment, write, or study, in numerous international locations, including the beautiful location of Casa Bianca in Castelnuovo Calcea, Asti, and in Venice, Italy.

Residencies combine different resources, in the aim to respond to artists’ practices, needs, and proposed projects.

In 2025, (Re)Create Art Projects began structuring a more complex program that will result in the combination of: artworks’ production, publications, exhibitions, artists’ residencies, symposiums, and more.

THE CAROLEE SCHNEEMANN CHAPEL

Carolee Schneemann, Cycladic Imprints, 1992

We are currently working on building a chapel housing Carolee Schneemann’s Cycladic Imprint, available to the public with a published book, and public tours. In 1992 there was an installation of Carolee Schneemann’s work, Cycladic Imprint. The installation included multiple violins, music by Malcolm Goldstein, and a performance by Carolee Schneemann wearing a red scarf around her eyes as she danced. In 2018, artist Carolee Schneemann got involved in this project to have a chapel built to house a version of this multi-faceted work called "Cycladic Imprints.” The Chapel will include one of the original violins, the original music, the original photo collage, and a video of this original performance by Carolee Schneemann from 1992. The curator of the project is, with (Re)Create, Sabine Breitwieser, who designed Carolee’s retrospective in Salzburg. Breitwieser brought in a world renowned architect, Wilfried Kuehn of Kuehn Melvezzi to design the building.

We are seeking $25,000.00 to create a publication and public access to this chapel. The funds will cover curation and publication of documentation of the chapel and organized tours of the chapel once completed.

We are also seeking funds to make available to the public and to document an installation of an early performance sculpture by the artist, Dennis Oppenheim, "Domestic Quarrel" 2005.

We are seeking $10,000.00 to cover the cost of a publication documenting this important work and to pay tour guides to open this work to the public.

PUBLIC SYMPOSIUM ON AI

(Re)Create will host a symposium on AI:Its Cultural, Political and Philosophical Relations. We are hosting the following world acclaimed artists, philosophers, and theorists; Ada Ackerman, David W. Bates, Nicolas Bourriaud, Gregory Chatonsky, Claire Fontaine, Anna Longo, Yann Moulier Boutang, Warren Neidich, and Hito Steyerl, and more, to present to the public, (free on Zoom) the current state of AI and its implications. There will be a publication based on their essays and discussions.

We are seeking $15,000.00 to cover the travel and housing expenses of the speakers, as well as a stipend for their contribution, as well as, AV technicians to set up and make this important symposium FREE and AVAILABLE to the public on Zoom.
