Liam McAllister's Story

What is a "Fun Fact" about you
I have a blue belt in Japanese Jujitsu and competed in Brazilian Jujitsu.

When did you start Rowing and why
I began rowing my Freshmen year of high school in Ontario Canada. I started after learning my families history with the sport. My Aunt and Mom rowed in High School. With my Aunt going on to row in University. I wanted to try Rowing to see if I enjoyed it, and I quickly fell in love with the sport.

What does being part of the CRSD team mean to you
Being apart of the CRSD team means a lot to me. When I joined CRSD I had just moved to California from Canada and did not have any friends. I found CRSD and from my first day onwards I was welcomed with open arms. I have met friends I will retain for the rest of my life. My crew and I have come so far together and seen each other grow. My coaches have been by my side since day one and i appreciate all of them. We are a crew, but I see them as family.

What does attending the Southwest Youth Championships in Sacramento CA mean to you
Attending the Southwest Youth Championships in Sacramento means so much to me and my crew. This will be my last season with CRSD and our crews last chance in Sacramento. I want to be able to go out with a bang. The work we have put in for this season is only matched by our passion for competing. I want to be able to showcase this hard work and passion in Sacramento this season and represent CRSD.
