Meet Goober, the 700 lb bundle of love! Rescued from the Future Farmers of America program with his sister Gamber, Goober’s story is one of second chances. The teen-age girl who raised him for slaughter as part of FFA fell in love with his adorable personality, and realized that she couldn’t betray her besties. Her family reached out to us and even told us that they couldn’t eat bacon anymore! Thankfully, goofy Goober now lives happily at Rancho, where he’s free to be his playful, cuddly self.
During the day, you’ll find Goober happily rooting around in the yard and sniffing out new treasures in the goat stalls (wink). When summer rolls around, he treats himself to the best spa day ever—a relaxing mud bath that helps him cool off and stay happy. But what Goober loves most of all is affection. Whether it’s a snuggle from his fellow pigs or a gentle scratch or hug from us, Goober flops over, belly up, and soaks in the love!
