Yarmouth Steam Boosters
Yarmouth STEAM Boosters, Inc. is a tax-exempt nonprofit, dedicated to empowering young people to become the innovators, engineers, and problem-solvers of tomorrow. We provide support for the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) programs in the Yarmouth School District, primarily through the robotics program.
Since launching in 2009, Yarmouth robotics teams have qualified for the VEX World Championships 11 times and won the state championships 4 times. The program engaged +100 students in grades 5 to 12 this year, and we are actively expanding programming to younger students. At the 2026 Maine State VEX Robotics Championships, teams from Yarmouth High School and Harrison Middle School qualified for coveted spots in the VEX World Championships in St. Louis, April 21-27 — the world's largest robotics competition!
While we’re proud of these achievements, we’re most excited about all the benefits that our kids are gaining that will serve them long after graduation. They’re becoming collaborators, creative thinkers and problem solvers.
Our 2025–2026 fundraising goal is $30,000. This will allow us to :
Help offset the cost of sending 14 middle school and high school students to the VEX World Championships in St. Louis, April 21-27, ensuring opportunities are accessible to every student.
Pay for tournament registration fees for middle and high school robotics participants
Pay for essential replacement parts for our growing teams
Expand STEAM programming to younger grades
Provide stipends to our dedicated coaches
Thank you for your support! Together, we’re inspiring the next generation of innovators. Questions? Contact us at [email protected].
