Mentors Matter Boys & Girls Program

The Mentors Matter initiative at The Center is a powerful Boys and Girls program designed to guide youth in grades 4th through 8th through one of the most important stages of their development. During these years, young people experience major changes—academically, socially, and emotionally. Mentors Matter provides the positive guidance, encouragement, and support they need to make good choices, build confidence, and prepare for future success. Academically, mentors help students set goals, strengthen study habits, and stay motivated in school. Socially, the program offers a safe space where youth build friendships, practice teamwork, and learn communication and life skills. The program also focuses on leadership and character development, teaching integrity, kindness, and confidence. Mentors inspire students to be leaders, not followers, and to take pride in who they are. By investing in these formative years, Mentors Matter helps young people become strong, capable, and compassionate leaders.
