Our "Big Dreams" campaign is named in honor of our "Big Fish" production, and in honor of the "Big Dreams" we have for our students and programming. Our goal is to raise $140,000 by the end of our season on June 30, 2024. Your gift will allow us to make these dreams a reality by expanding and enhancing our programs, including:

Our “Reach for the Stars” Recruiting and Scholarship Program, to identify talented performers and provide tuition assistance, including our BIPOC Scholarship.
New Community Outreach Programming which will allow us to serve a greater portion of the community.
Professional Mentors, like award-winning composers Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast), Stephen Schwartz (Wicked) and Jason Robert Brown (Bridges of Madison County).

Founded in 2011, Young Artists of America at Strathmore (YAA) is an award-winning, non-profit educational organization, based in the DC Metro Area, offering world-class music theatre training to young performing artists in a professional and nurturing environment. Our students train and perform fully orchestrated works of music theatre in state-of-the-art venues such as the Music Center at Strathmore, where we are an Affiliate. Each year, we serve a diverse group of 500+ students, grades 4-12, and reach an audience of 5000+, with 12+ performances and 1,500+ hours of classes and rehearsals.
