Founded in 2011, Young Artists of America at Strathmore (YAA) is an award-winning, non-profit educational organization, based in the DC Metro Area, offering world-class music theatre training to young performing artists in a professional and nurturing environment. Our students train and perform fully orchestrated works of music theatre in state-of-the-art venues such as the Music Center at Strathmore, where we are an Affiliate. Each year, we serve a diverse group of 500+ students, grades 4-12, and reach an audience of 5000+, with 12+ performances and 1,500+ hours of classes and rehearsals.
