Founded in 2018, Crescendo Phoenixville's mission is to provide high-quality violin instruction to children who otherwise might not receive it.

We serve children in Phoenixville, PA. We provide each program participant:

A free violin
Free, intensive year-round music instruction
Frequent opportunities to perform that are free to the public

In the fall of 2018, we welcomed 18 students from Barkley elementary school. Students commit to attending Crescendo's classes every day for the entire school year. To date, more than 60 students have participated in Crescendo's program.

Our students are passionate about music!

Each year, more than half of Crescendo's students choose to continue their musical journey with Crescendo for another year. Many students play with us throughout their entire elementary school career. When the pandemic shut everything down, we took music lessons to the kids and practiced on the sidewalk outside their houses all over town.

Did we mention how much our kids love to perform? The full Crescendo group puts on 2 - 3 performances each year. In addition, Crescendo students have volunteered to perform in smaller groups at more than 25 community events over the last 5 years. They work hard and they are proud to show off their developing musical skills!
