2023-2024 Annual Fund: Igniting Curiosity

For 78 years, our small progressive school in the heart of Berkeley has ignited the curiosity and passion for learning in generations of children. Our highly skilled, compassionate teachers provide the fire that fuels our school and engages our joyful and curious learners.

Our Annual Fund represents our school’s largest source of fundraising. Tuition accounts for most, but not all of our operating budget. Fundraising covers the remainder of our budget. The amazing academic and extracurricular programs we provide our students—Wild Ways, Forest Days, Storytelling Month, author visits— are because of generous contributions from Berkwood Hedge School families, trustees, staff, alumni, and friends.

Equally as important as your financial contributions to the Annual Fund is the value of your participation. Every year we strive for 100 percent participation from our families as an important symbol of our collective commitment to the promise of a Berkwood Hedge School education.
