Uganda is often called the Pearl of Africa, known for its lush landscapes, wildlife, and some of the most welcoming people you’ll ever meet. It's a country rich in culture, beauty, and resilience. At the same time, many families and children continue to face daily challenges around food access, particularly when it comes to consistent nutrition for students.

Later this year, I’ll be traveling to East Africa to host my first safari group trip to Tanzania and Uganda. While this journey is rooted in exploration and connection, I felt a strong pull to extend the experience beyond this. Travel offers new perspectives, deepens empathy, and reminds us how connected we all are. This felt like the right moment to turn presence into purpose.

Following the safari, I’ll travel to eastern Uganda to spend time supporting Smile Africa Ministries, a long-standing, community-based organization working directly with families and schoolchildren. Smile Africa focuses on practical, local solutions that preserve dignity and opportunity, including daily meal programs, school feeding initiatives, and essential community support.
