The Millwald Theatre has always been more than a building. It’s where our community gathers. It’s where families laugh together, where kids see live theatre for the very first time, and where nationally recognized touring artists discover the magic of Southwest Virginia.

In the past year alone, more than 6,000 students experienced free educational programming at the Millwald, and over 10,000 patrons walked through our doors for concerts, films, comedy, community events, and unforgettable performances. Artists, filmmakers, comedians, and touring companies are coming to Wytheville because the Millwald has become a cultural anchor for our region.

But the moments we are most proud of are the ones that change lives:

When over 50 children saw their first symphony—for free—at Symphony Under the Stars.
When hundreds of elementary school students learned to sing “This Land Is Your Land” in Spanish during our bilingual educational series.
When a veteran wrote that our support for Veterans and VetTix “is held in the highest regard.”
