SUPPORT TO SELF-SUFFICIENCY
The Support to Self-Sufficiency Program, operated by 1983 Evangelistic Ministries, is a structured six-month support initiative designed to help individuals and families move from crisis and dependency toward stability and long-term independence. The program works with participants who are experiencing food insecurity, financial instability, or limited access to essential resources, and provides them with the guidance, education, and support necessary to build a sustainable future.
Participants receive consistent support through food assistance, financial literacy education, employment readiness training, and connections to community resources. Through partnerships with local professionals and organizations, participants gain access to services such as budgeting and financial planning, job preparation, housing referrals, healthcare navigation, and other supportive services.
Each participant works through a guided process that focuses on meeting immediate needs while also building long-term stability. The program calls for accountability, personal development, and practical life skills that empower individuals to reduce reliance on emergency assistance and progress toward financial and personal independence.
By combining direct support with education and community partnerships, the Support to Self-Sufficiency Program aims to create lasting change for families and individuals, helping them move from survival to stability and ultimately toward self-sufficiency.
