Whether you're a returning mentor, mentee, or community member—thank you. Your continued support means the world to us. And if you're just discovering Second Act, welcome. We're so grateful you're here and interested in the work we deeply believe in.

Second Act is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit born from lived experience—by dancers, for dancers. We exist to support professional and pre-professional dancers as they navigate the often-complex transition to college and meaningful secondary careers. Our mission is rooted in empathy, insight, and a shared understanding of what it means to leave the stage and begin something new.

What makes Second Act truly special is our people. Since its founding in August 2021, the organization's impact has been entirely driven by a dedicated community of volunteers—our Internal Team, Board, and mentors—all of whom have walked this path themselves. Together, we’ve built a network of 110+ mentors and 80+ mentees, each relationship as a testament to the power of guidance, encouragement, and shared purpose.

While mentorship remains the heart of what we do, our vision extends further. We are equally committed to building a vibrant, supportive community through events, conversations, and connections—both online and in person. As we grow, so does our need to provide essential resources, including scholarships through our newly launched Encore Fund Scholarship.

To continue this work—and to ensure every dancer has the support they deserve—we need your help. Funding is essential to keep our operations running and our programs accessible. Every contribution, every voice, every shared story makes a difference.

At Second Act, we’re just getting started. The future is bright, and we’re thrilled to have you with us as we shape what’s to come.
