FIRE began when my son, Christopher asked: "why can't I go?" after attending a beautiful graduation mass for Holy Family Academy High School.

Blindness and autism require specialized curriculum, teacher cooperation and extra money for a teacher to help and tutor. FIRE didn't start in NH, but in Kansas City, MO, with five families, just like mine, with the desire to have their child attend a Catholic school just like their siblings. Bringing FIRE to NH is the first step to advocate and make possible inclusion of students with disabilities.

The facts are clear, we already have diversified learners in our schools. Teacher training and open hearts to inclusion practices will insure Catholic schools can welcome more children while better serving the current students. Faith, time, money, resources and professional development are happening step by step. Join us in building up our schools where "all are welcome."
