My Why
After hanging up my cleats following my college baseball career at the University of Rhode Island 20 years ago, I didn’t think much about coaching—until I became a father. Three of my four boys played youth baseball, and countless evenings and weekends were spent at Heroes Sports Park. This park holds a special place in my heart, as it’s been the backdrop for incredible memories—whether I was coaching from the dugout or cheering as a proud dad from the bleachers during those unforgettable spring and summer weekends.
In 2019, I was honored to step into the role of Treasurer for Heroes Sports Park. Today, the park faces pressing needs for infrastructure and safety upgrades. I am deeply committed to ensuring Heroes Sports Park remains a premier destination for youth sports in the Cincinnati area—a place where families can continue to create lasting memories for generations to come.
But Heroes is more than just a sports facility. It’s a tribute to the heroes who serve us every day—firefighters, law enforcement officers, medical professionals, military members, and educators. I love that this park connects these noble professions with the young athletes who look up to them, fostering a sense of community, gratitude, and inspiration.
This is why I’m determined to see Heroes Sports Park thrive—not only as a haven for youth sports but as a space where we honor those who dedicate their lives to serving others.
