Every step we take honors a life that shouldn’t have been lost.
Operation Iron Ruck was born from the hearts of student veterans at Auburn University and the University of Alabama—brothers and sisters in arms who came together not as rivals, but as a united force against a shared crisis: veteran suicide.
Each year during Iron Bowl week, these veterans march over 150 miles between their campuses, carrying 22-pound rucksacks to symbolize the 22 veterans who die by suicide every day. Along the route, they carry more than weight—they carry names, memories, and a call to action. They stop in towns and classrooms, share their stories, and speak for those who can’t.
This is more than a walk. It’s a movement of remembrance, resilience, and hope. And your support makes it possible.
With your gift, you’re helping us raise awareness, connect veterans to resources, and ensure no one walks alone in their struggle. You’re not just donating—you’re marching with us.
Stand with us. Walk with us. Help us carry the weight.
