If you’re not familiar with our program, we hope once you learn more about us that you’ll want to be a part of it and partner with us. When John Roman founded Impact eleven years ago, he did so to build a more encouraging and positive environment for boys to learn not just the game of baseball, but the “game” of life. Impact’s stated objective says it plainly:

Train young men in baseball, life, and faith through practicing excellence on the field, serving others, and glorifying Jesus Christ in all things.

As Impact has grown, we have prayerfully tried to align any new initiatives with that objective, both on and off the field. For many organizations, the pinnacle of their youth baseball experience is playing in one of a number of national tournaments, typically when they are 12 years old.

We wanted our pinnacle trip to be different and to align with our mission. So, we designed, in partnership with GO Ministries, a father-son baseball mission trip to the Dominican Republic. This amazing trip makes a lasting impact on all who go, and for some it’s been transformative.

Making these trips a reality requires a lot of heavy lifting. The teams that go each year invest a lot of time and energy to fundraise. We require a high level of their “skin in the game.” The entire program supports the effort, but we also need help to make these trips happen.
