ROTC has been one of the most impactful experiences of my life. Now in my third year and graduating this year, I can say with confidence that this program has shaped who I am as both a leader and a person. Through ROTC, I’ve grown in confidence, discipline, and responsibility in ways I never expected when I first joined.
Serving as a logistics officer, a color guard team commander, and previously as an operations assistant has given me real leadership experience that goes far beyond a classroom. ROTC teaches leadership through mentorship, book learning, and hands-on experience, allowing cadets to learn by doing and by supporting one another. Every role comes with accountability, teamwork, and the opportunity to grow.
What makes ROTC truly special is the people. It is a tight-knit group that has become a second home. The mentorship, trust, and shared commitment create an environment where cadets are constantly pushed to be better, not just as leaders, but as individuals. You are never alone — you are supported, challenged, and believed in.
ROTC is absolutely worth investing in because it invests in people. It builds confident, capable leaders who carry these lessons into their communities and futures. I will always be grateful for this program, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for purpose, leadership, and belonging.
