To date we’ve trapped 270 cats and kittens, everything from little 4 week old kittens to a very elusive 14 pound male that rules the colony. We couldn’t do this critical work without your support!

Lugging that 14 pound male in for his neuter was a high-five day, but also an upper body workout! 💪 Sadly, he was caught in a regular cat trap and didn’t have a ton of extra leg room.

We’d like to add a few oversized cat traps, or “fat cat” traps, to our TNR supplies. These larger traps work great for trapping larger cats, and holding cats in general. Also, about a third of the felines we’ve trapped are weaned kittens. We have a small team of fosters who are willing to hold these kittens until they are surrendered to one of our partners. Our kitty pantry is running low! We are down to our last tray of wet food. We’re asking for donations of canned kitten food. The Bitty Kitty Brigade is a foster-based rescue for orphaned neonatal kittens in the Twin Cities, MN and surrounding areas.

The Bitty Kitty Brigade provides care for kittens ages 0-6 weeks who are without mothers and not yet eating on their own as well as for families where the mother cat is present but unable to feed on her own. We utilize foster caregivers for all stages of care, from bottle-feeding to weaning and beyond.

Our trap-neuter-return team, The Birth Control Brigade, seeks to end the cycle of unwanted cats and kittens by humanely trapping and sterilizing community cats and returning them to their communities.
