The Woodlawn Food Security Health & Human Services Project d/b/a The Woodlawn Project thanks you for your generous charitable contribution and your continued support of the Woodlawn Community Food Pantry. We are sure that the people of the communities we serve thank you as well. Without people such as yourself, we could not provide food security, health events, and human services to our neighborhoods.

Your donation helped us continue our mission of providing food essentials necessary to sustain a healthy diet. Our participation in the Food Rescue Program has grown to include Walmart, Kroger, and Jewel stores on the southside of Chicago. We recently entered the CSFP (Commodity Senior Food Program) to provide seniors 60 years and over a monthly food box to supplement their visits to the food pantry.

The increasing need for food security from the neighborhood residents plus the increasing volume of food necessary to serve our clients is straining our ability to serve everyone on a weekly basis. We are now in need of a larger facility as we have outgrown our capacity in the current location. The larger space will allow us to launch additional services to sustain and grow our nutrition education program, community health events, and human services. To that end we are hosting our 2nd annual gala fundraising event on Saturday, August 2, 2025.
