Joe Rivera for Hudson Schools

My name is Joe Rivera, and I am honored to run for a position on the Hudson School Board. I am a husband, a father of 2, and a dog dad.  My first and second-grader are growing up in our schools, and I’m personally invested in the quality of education they receive — and in the future we’re building for every child in our community.

I retired from the United States Air Force after serving 20 years on active duty. During that time, I had multiple overseas deployments and assignments that allowed me to live in different parts of the world. From Greenland to Antarctica, Hawaii to Korea, and everywhere in between, those experiences shaped who I am. They taught me how to lead under pressure, how to adapt to change, and how to work with people from all backgrounds and perspectives — always staying focused on the mission and the people depending on you.

Along the way, I also learned the value of education. No matter where in the world I was, I continued taking classes because learning should never stop — and because growth and accountability are qualities every leader should model.

With a Master’s degree in Communication, I now work as a Senior Human Resources Business Advisor. My focus remains centered on people, problem-solving, and thoughtful decision-making. I also serve on the district’s Teaching and Learning Advisory Council (TLAC), partnering with educators, administrators, parents, and community members to support strong teaching and learning.

I’m running for school board because I believe Hudson benefits most from leaders that care, listen, unify, and keep students at the center of every decision. I’m committed to helping the district remain a place where families feel confident, educators feel supported, and students are prepared for their futures.

This campaign is about ensuring a bright future for our children and our community, and I couldn’t do it without people like you who share the vision of strong, transparent, and forward-thinking leadership in our schools.
