Annual Sand Sculpture Contest at Lake Ripley Beach

On Friday, July 12, 2024, Lake Ripley Beach will transform into a hub of creativity and competition as it hosts the annual Sand Sculpture Contest. This event invites teams to showcase their artistic skills by crafting stunning sand sculptures within the allocated timeframe and space.

Building Time: 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Judging Time: 6:00 PM

Contest Rules:

Registration Fee: $15 per team, payable upon registration. Teams will not be accepted without payment.
Team Composition: Each team can have a maximum of 4 members. The oldest member will determine the age group of the team.
Sculpting Area: Only registered team members are allowed in the sculpting area once the contest begins. Teams must stay within their assigned sculpting area and must not pile sand into neighboring areas.
Judging: Judges’ decisions are final.

Age Groups:
- 8 - 10 years
- 11 - 14 years
- 15 - 17 years
- 18+ years (No prize money, just the fun of digging with kids!

Prizes for each age group [through 17]
- Prize money is per team.
- First – $100
- Second – $75
- Third – $50

Important Notes:

Only 15 teams will compete, with registration on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Watercade organization will not be responsible for any injuries sustained during the event.
