Youth Initiatives

KCDC provides safe, stable housing for more than 3,000 children across Knox County — and we know that a secure home is only the beginning. To help young people thrive academically, socially, and emotionally, KCDC partners with local out-of-school programs, youth organizations, and community groups that offer enrichment, mentoring, tutoring, and safe spaces after school. These partnerships ensure that every child has opportunities to learn, grow, and imagine a bright future. The Family Investment Foundation is a 501(c)3 component unit of Knoxville's Community Development Corporation (KCDC), the public housing authority for Knoxville and Knox County and the redevelopment agency for the City of Knoxville.
