Help end the long walks for water in Waradho Village
Every single day, women and girls in Waradho walk over 12 kilometers for a single container of water. These long, dangerous journeys rob women and girls time, safety, education, and opportunity. The burden is heavy, physically, emotionally, and economically. As climate change dries up water sources the community relied on, the struggle grows more desperate and women and girls bear the brunt of changing weather.
Lack of water keeps women out of work, girls out of school, and families trapped in cycles of poverty. Farmers cannot irrigate their crops, and households depend on unsafe, unreliable sources. More than 700 households in Waradho village face these challenges every day.
With your generous support, Creats International will change this reality by drilling a community borehole and training women, youth, and vulnerable groups in entrepreneurship. This will help the community rise beyond hardship.
A Story of Hope: What Clean Water Made Possible in Sino Kagola Village
Just a few kilometers away in Sino Kagola Village, Ms. Wilfrida Ataro and her fellow villagers once faced the same struggles to access clean water. The long walks to the nearest water source. Withering crops, and children missing school marked their village life. Life was dictated by water scarcity.
Then, with support from generous donors like you, everything changed. We drilled a borehole in Sino Kagola and the story of Ms. Wilfrida Ataro and the rest of the community changed.
- Girls returned to school and regularly attended class.
- Women found time for work and rest.
- Kitchen gardens flourished leading to improved access to fresh and nutritious vegetables.
- Families regained dignity and hope.
Ms. Wilfrida Ataro shared, “Life feels lighter now. My daughters no longer miss school to fetch water, and my kitchen garden feeds my family. This borehole changed everything.” Mr. Benard said, “We didn’t know water alone could open so many doors.”
With your generous support, what happened in Sino Kagola village can happen again in Waradho village.
You can make this change possible with your generous donation.
From now until December 31, 2025, we are mobilizing support to bring clean, safe water to Waradho Village.
Your donation can make an immediate difference:
- $10 helps provide clean water access for a child
- $20 supports a week of community water distribution
- $50 helps train a woman or youth entrepreneur
- $100 strengthens borehole development and maintenance
- $200+ pushes us closer to fully drilling the borehole
Every contribution, big or small, moves an entire community from struggling to thriving.
