There's something that happens when a CMP facilitator walks into a room and smiles at the people welcomed into the program.

It's small. But for someone who's been navigating the immigration system or substance use disorder, or for someone working back-to-back overnight shifts, or sitting with grief they haven't named yet — being smiled at, being seen, can be the thing that makes it possible to breathe.

After weather-related challenges slowed us down slightly in January and February, we came back strong. In March and April, our facilitators led 124 programs across Fairfield County — majority in person, side by side with the people we serve.

124 opportunities to offer something surprisingly revolutionary and lasting: a breath, a pause, a tool for steadiness that belongs to you no matter what comes next.
