Summer is a time for kids to explore and expand the limits of their imagination. At YMCA summer day camp, every day is a new adventure – filled with fun and friendships.

Unfortunately, not all children have equal access to these opportunities. Many parents face challenges during the long summer months in finding suitable and affordable options for their kids. Last July, we gave more than $10,000 in financial assistance to families in Myrtle Beach to be able to afford summer camp.

Offer a break from screens, providing an outdoor environment where children can engage in enriching activities.
Enable parents to work confidently, with the peace-of-mind that their children are well-cared for.
Build friendships – new and old – as campers spend the day together in new activities.
Surround our children with positive role models who care about their emotional, mental and physical health.
Provide swim lessons to enhance water safety and boost children’s confidence in their swimming abilities.
Incorporate STEM, math, and literacy into our camp activities, extending learning beyond the school year and address- ing learning loss.
Ensure all children, regardless of their family’s financial means, can participate in summer camp or swim programs,accessing their life-changing benefits.

The YMCA summer day camp keeps kids active and engaged, while supporting parents who rely on a safe and nurturing environment for their children while they are at work.
