Hananiah House Rebuilding
In a matter of hours on March 8, 2023, a tragic fire completely destroyed our first Hananiah House residence, displacing the women we serve and leaving us to start again. We are immensely grateful that no one was hurt, and our residents remained committed to their healing and growth.
In the years since the fire, we have been overwhelmed by the generosity of our community. We have now been able to expand our efforts to three residences, and we continue to serve full houses with a consistent waiting list. The growth that has come from the ashes of that March night is a reminder of the power of hope, grace, and hard work, and it continues to propel us forward.
We would be honored if you would contribute to our ongoing efforts to provide safe, stable housing for women who are rebuilding their lives. Every penny goes directly toward resident care, coaching, and counseling, as well as the daily upkeep of our new residences.
Here are a few examples of how your donations may be used:
+ We provide residents with transportation to their new job and any medical or dental visits needed after they arrive. Your $48 donation provides a tank of gas for those drives.
+ Inmates come to us without basic necessities.Your $72 donation provides a new resident with hygiene supplies and a change of clothes when they leave prison.
+ Trauma counseling is an integral part of the Hananiah House program. Your $112 donation provides a counseling visit to help a new resident begin to heal from pain and abuse.
+ We provide a safe, comfortable residence for our women so they can start fresh. Your $285 donation provides one month of electricity for our new home.
Thank you so much for your support!
