Amarillo has always had artists. Muralists, photographers, musicians, sculptors, poets, dancers — talent that fills this city quietly, without the platform it deserves.

We're building 806.art to change that.

806.art will be a free, community-driven platform where local artists can create a profile, share their work and links, and connect with an audience right here in the Panhandle. A directory, a newsletter, and a creative hub — all at one address that belongs to this city. Artists self-register, get their own page at 806.art/their-name, with a free artist@806.art email address on the roadmap as a symbol that this platform is truly theirs.

The website itself is being built as an in-kind donation by a local partner development firm, who are contributing their design and engineering work and receiving a charitable donation receipt for its full value. Every dollar raised in this campaign goes directly to keeping the platform running — nothing else.
