Because of the incredible generosity of our community, 100 backpacks have already been donated and filled with essential school supplies for local children.

‼️August 1, 2026 UPDATE: We currently have a 30 family waitlist needing supplies. ‼️

Now we're turning our attention to the remaining items many families still need before the first day of school—things like PE clothes, shoes, required headphones, geometry protractors, geometric compasses, graphing calculators, specific curriculum materials, and other back-to-school essentials that help children begin the year prepared and confident.

Through SunshineAndShade's Back-to-School Giving Campaign, your donation helps complete the list for selected families in the local Douglas County community.

A new school year should be filled with excitement, confidence, and opportunity. We can't wait to send these kiddos into the school year equipped and ready to succeed.

Together, we can help ensure every child walks into the classroom prepared, encouraged, and ready to thrive.

As we join together in this Kingdom work to be the hands and feet of Jesus, we invite you to join us on August 2nd at 1:00 PM as we pray over our schools, teachers, community, and students. Let's pray for protection, provision, wisdom, and blessings for an incredible school year ahead.
