For far too long America has been failing to provide sufficient assistance to those that have fallen on hard times. There are great initiatives in place, but there is so much more that needs to be done. And through Run For Cover, we hope to fill those gaps.

Run For Cover will be an annual 10k that serves as the fundraising vehicle for The Rehabilitation Project. This project is our effort to put the displaced in a position to have housing and support on their journey back to stability. The vision is to have two facilities: one for men and a separate for women and children.

Just a few statistics:

In 2023 alone, 39.3% of people experiencing homelessness were unsheltered; a record high.
In January 2023, 653,104 people experienced homelessness in the US, a 12.1% increase from 2022.
- The highest number since the PIT count began in 2007.
New York City and Los Angeles contain one-quarter of the country's unhoused people.
In Long Beach alone, a state of emergency was declared due to the influx of homeless in the last year.
