Hello! My name is Shayne and I am a member of the Junior Advisory Council (JAC) for Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh (HARP). The JAC is comprised of a diverse group of young emerging leaders committed to advancing HARP’s mission to enhance the lives of companion animals and native wildlife. The mission of the JAC is to raise awareness of HARP through volunteer and fundraising events within our communities, as well as to build personal and professional networks.

I will act as an Ambassador on behalf of HARP, the largest animal welfare organization in Western Pennsylvania. I gain team building and leadership experience working with other like-minded individuals on the JAC as well as dedicated staff and HARP Board members.

My life long mission is to act as a voice to the voiceless and be able to be a champion of animal welfare. I joined the JAC to be able to give back in a broader capacity and be able to make an impactful difference to our furry friends in the Pittsburgh community. My goal for the next 6 months is to be able to raise $5,000 for this amazing organization and would appreciate any and all support.
