RESTORING HOPE AFTER THE STORM

Our mission at Hurricane Help Florida is to provide Florida homeowners and communities with

essential free resources and guidance to help them navigate the challenges before and after a

hurricane. From preparedness planning to step-by-step rebuilding guidance, we offer support such as

how to retrieve lost documents, verify contractors, and accessing government services. We also

provide rebuilding materials, furniture, and appliances through donations, along with our first grant

funding awarded to Hurricane Help Florida by Volunteer Florida. Our goal is to help individuals and

families recover, rebuild stronger, and remain resilient throughout Florida’s unpredictable hurricane

seasons. No matter where someone is in the recovery process, we are here to support them every

step of the way.

Our rescue app, StormResQ, is a web-based and iOS and Android app. It’s designed to be used

before, during, and after a hurricane to help specialized rescue nonprofits locate and assist people in

need, especially when 911 services are overwhelmed or unavailable. The app connects individuals

with skilled emergency responders who can bring them to safe shelter during a crisis.
