Colleen "Coco" loved to spend time with her family and friends and she brought light to everyone she knew. Let's all be together to celebrate life, dance, sing, and embrace the vibrant light she shines on us all today.
Colleen "Coco" Moon suffered a stroke and died unexpectedly on August 16, 2020, at just 30 years old. Coco was a light in this world. She always had a smile on her face and would lend an ear or shoulder to anyone who needed it. Coco took great joy in helping and improving the lives of others, and she did just that- just by being herself.
Coco moved to Colorado to enjoy the active lifestyle she loved but as an east coast native, Sea Isle City, New Jersey was Coco's happy place. She spent her summers there working and having fun with family and friends. Her favorite time of year was during February over President’s Day weekend, when her entire family would gather in Sea Isle City for an annual family plunge in the ocean. Colleen loved to be surrounded by everyone she loved and who loved her.
Although her life was much too short, Colleen is an example of a life well lived. She truly enjoyed each day, living for both small moments and adventures, and caring for those around her. Coco's Light was started to continue Coco's kind, compassionate, adventurous, fun, and vivacious spirit. Previous Coco's Light events have raised money that contributed to Donor Alliance and Colleen’s Alma Mater, East Stroudsburg University, and also to Stroke Research and Prevention.
