The tech industry is facing unprecedented challenges. Over the past year, major players like Bitwise, Multiverse, and 2U have experienced significant losses. Many nonprofits dedicated to workforce development are struggling to stay afloat. This turbulence is felt most acutely by early-career professionals, especially people of color striving to break into the tech industry. 

At Creating Coding Careers, our mission has always been to empower underrepresented communities through earn-and-learn models. We provide the training, support, and opportunities needed to transform lives and build careers. However, to continue thriving and expanding our reach, we urgently need your support.

The Challenge:

The current landscape makes it increasingly difficult for early career professionals to find and land their first job in tech. People of color and other individuals from underserved communities are often overlooked in the tech space and face systemic barriers that make entering and advancing in tech even more challenging. Without organizations like ours, many of these talented individuals may never get the chance to realize their potential. 

Our Solution:

We are pivoting our program offerings to address the current landscape of jobs. We will continue to do apprenticeship work in partnership with companies, and we plan to launch new career pathways in high-demand fields like Data Engineering, Cybersecurity, AI Engineering, Cloud Computing, and Technical Product Ownership. We are enhancing our career support services and will be launching online communities to serve more people and ensure our folks are fully prepared to navigate the evolving tech landscape.
