Larry Kisor Legacy Fund

Larry Kisor is a retired educator. Mr. Kisor was a former Director of Bands at Sioux City North High School. During his time at North, his students performed at many regional, national and international conventions and festivals. Many of his students were selected for Honor Bands, All-State Jazz Band and other prestigious ensembles. He is acclaimed for 14 wins at the Iowa Jazz Championships as well as 9 times runner up performances. Under his direction Sioux City North High Jazz 1 was a finalist in the Essential Ellington Competition.

The Larry Kisor Legacy Fund is being established to honor his contributions, to celebrate the 25th Annual STARFEST and continue to provide enriching opportunities to the band students of Sioux City North High. The North Stars Band Inc, band parent organization, along with NHS Band Alumni have created this "Larry Kisor Legacy Fund" to provide financial resources directly to students to participate in enrichment opportunities.
