All of us are impacted by the critical shortage of medical laboratory technicians. The shortage led employers to reach out to Nortwood Technical College, which prompted discussions and new partnerships, including an exciting collaboration with Westfields Hospital. As part of this venture, the generously donated building requires essential remodeling to meet clinical and lab experience standards.

To support this initiative, and get the program off the ground, the Northwood Technical College Foundation initiated a capital campaign and seeks your assistance.

Medical lab technicians play a vital role in our communities, conducting nearly 997 million diagnostic tests for Covid-19 alone since the pandemic began. Lab test accuracy and timeliness significantly influences about two-thirds of all medical decisions made by physicians (Forbes, 2022).

Your contribution will not only address workforce needs but also benefit the communities we serve, providing graduates with a living wage.
