Christmas care package project

For the past 9 years, Stand 4 Justice Founder, Sarah-Jane Vegas, has sent thoughtful care packages to survivors and their families during the holiday season. Beginning with just 15 survivors in 2016, she sent hand-written cards and gift cards so each woman could purchase a gift for herself or someone in her family. Year by year the project has grown, benefitting more and more women and children and helping them thrive rather than just survive the holiday season. Each package is carefully curated and includes artwork, jewelry, holiday treats, cozy socks, coffee, and gift cards for both the women and the children in their care. These packages are even sent through special partnerships to women who have recently escaped trafficking and are just beginning their journey of healing. 

Last year 150 care packages (benefitting 293 women and children) were sent all over the nation reaching survivors at various stages in their recovery, including many teen survivors who had just escaped trafficking. The goal of $12,000 will cover the cost of gift cards for over 300 individuals, shipping for the care packages, and a few small gifts. The other items are generously donated.
