Our beginning...April 2012. I closed my eyes and jumped. After 32 years in the insurance industry I sold my agency and started living my dream. I had no idea that Pet Tails Rescue would evolve to where we are today.

Countless volunteers who heal hearts....over and over again.

We are all a community of kindred souls. This year we have reached out to neighboring communities to help many homeless kittens and pregnant moms living under sheds or worse. Lives that never would have survived.

Our resources are always hitting rock bottom because there is always another life to save. And our hearts just never say no. Medical costs are the number one expense for our rescue. We are here on this GIVING TUESDAY asking for your generosity (no matter how big or small). We are always running on a wing and a prayer - and it is ALWAYS you that save and rescue us. And so we ask you again if you are able to support our mission. Are you able to help us continue to save some precious lives and create some pretty remarkable survival stories? The kind of stories that melt hearts and restore faith in humanity?

Pet Tails Rescue is a 501c3 non profit facility based rescue located in Northwood NH. We are 100% volunteer based. Running a full scale rescue drains our pockets but not our intentions. Our volunteers give selflessly to nurse and heal the sick & injured. We cradle the hearts of those who are broken and we teach them love. We never ever give up.

Just like RIVER, RAIN & STORMY....

These three beautiful babies were born to a pregnant mom that was found under a porch in a neighboring town. Momma Misty gave birth to nine babies after 3 weeks in our care. Labor was over 8 hours long and there was a period of time that it was questionable if she would survive. In gratitude to a very special woman who stayed by her side and untangled her babies, Misty Harbor survived along with every one of her babies. All have no been placed in loving homes.

AND THEN THERE IS MELINDA MAY.....

MELINDA MAY is just 6 months old with the biggest, sweetest personality. She was found in a remote shelter near Tennessee with no hope of getting adopted or even rescued...until our rescue partner walked in and this precious girl came running right up to her. Melinda Sue had to have one eye removed due to rupture and only had partial vision in the other. But she had enough vision to find our rescue partner whose heart just melted for this girl. Melinda Sue's bags were packed and she was soon to be headed up to Pet Tails Rescue. Melinda May saw our vet just today who took an extensive look at her remaining eye and determined there is a possibility that her sight in that eye may be able to be restored (or at least improved significantly). We were referred to a opthamologist specialist in New England for an evaluation. This will take finances that we just don't have currently...especially if there is any sort of treatment that may help Melinda Sue. We are asking for your help so that we will have the resources to proceed to offer this precious soul the life that she so deserves. If you can give...please be the angel this girl so desperately deserves.
