Thank you so much for your generous gift to Hunger Free Colorado. Your support makes a difference for thousands of Coloradans experiencing food insecurity.

Over the past year, thanks to gifts like yours, we have connected more than 57,000 Coloradans to nutritious and culturally relevant food, built local food systems, supported communities to lead for change and established the transformational Healthy School Meals for All program.

In the coming year, Hunger Free Colorado will continue conducting outreach, connecting people to food resources and assisting people in applying for the benefits provided by the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (aka SNAP). While we serve anyone who has difficulty affording enough nutritious food, this year, we will be prioritizing outreach to groups that face additional and specialized barriers to accessing essential food resources.

Our Policy Team will be advocating around the Farm Bill and has goals to expand access, remove barriers and protect benefit levels for the SNAP program. Additional advocacy focus areas include expanding the availability of school meals and strengthening the emergency food system.

The Organizing Team is working for a community-centered implementation of Healthy School Meals for All. This means partnering with communities to ensure families and students have a voice in shaping their school menus so meals are nutritious, culturally-relevant and locally sourced.
