I am writing on behalf of the Knockout Parkinson’s Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals living with Parkinson’s disease through the power of boxing-based exercise. Our mission is simple but profound: to help people fight back against Parkinson’s by building strength, improving balance, and fostering community through specialized boxing programs.

As a certified USA Boxing coach with over five years of experience working directly with individuals with Parkinson’s, I have seen firsthand how consistent movement and support can dramatically improve quality of life. Research has shown that exercise — particularly high-intensity, non-contact boxing — helps slow the progression of symptoms and restores confidence to those living with this disease.

The Foundation operates its classes at JRH Boxing Academy, my boxing studio in Hawthorne, California. By utilizing this space, we keep overhead costs low while ensuring clients have access to a professional, safe, and welcoming training environment. This approach allows us to direct more funding toward providing scholarships for clients, outreach in the community, and training programs tailored specifically to Parkinson’s needs.

We are respectfully asking for $25,000

To help us expand our impact. Funding will be used to:

Provide subsidized or free memberships for Parkinson’s clients in need.
Cover program costs including gloves, equipment, and safety gear.
Support the role of a dedicated coach and program director (myself) to ensure consistent, professional instruction and outreach.
Develop community workshops and awareness events to reach more individuals living with Parkinson’s and their families.
