Targeting young adults ages 18 to 24, this six-month immersive program emphasizes leadership, agriculture, and community service. Now in its fourth year, it has evolved to provide participants with essential technical and soft skills for careers in agriculture, nonprofit work, and other community-oriented fields. Participants receive paid work experience, mentorship, and leadership training, facilitating their transition into long-term employment or higher education. Additionally, the program serves as a pathway to paid apprenticeships at Soul Food Project, empowering young individuals to become agents of change in their communities.
At Soul Food Project, our farms are vital training grounds that nourish the land and the neighborhoods we support. Employees learn to grow and sell produce, manage farm operations, lead outreach efforts, and collaborate towards common goals. We instill confidence, discipline, and practical knowledge that contribute to their success beyond our programs while fostering healthy and resilient communities.
